The Butler Freeport Community Trail is a 21-mile rails to trails connecting Butler and Freeport. It is an all volunteer maintained trail. The trail offers a lot of history, you can still see remnants of days gone by. You will see hikers, bikers, walkers, photographers, scouts, geocachers and people birding. Scenery is breath taking ... farmland to waterfalls. The trail has been designated an Important Bird Area by the Audubon Society.
