|A Message From The Chair|

Happy New Year to All!
It is with humble pride I accept the Chair of the Butler County Chamber of Commerce. I have resided in Butler County for about 10 years, and have quickly learned the value of Chamber membership. The Butler County Chamber is a “can do” organization with superior professional leadership.
In my role with Armstrong I come in daily contact with Chamber members. The enthusiastic efforts of our Chamber is known throughout the County and beyond. We should all take pride in Butler County’s recent designation as the 6th fastest growing county in employment. This recent report from the US Bureau of Labor is one recognition of our vibrant business community.
Butler County means many things to many people — our slogan “We Mean Business” could not better exemplify our Chamber. Whether educational seminars, our business and wellness seminars, Leadership Butler County or social gatherings — the energy of our Chamber is apparent.
Upon any new adventure, a plan or roadmap needs to be defined. I am committed to working with our Board to create an environment in which our Chamber can continue to flourish. My personal challenge in the coming year is to grow our Chamber’s membership. As a goal, I challenge our group to add 50 or more new members in 2012.
Our community experienced some sadness in 2011, the loss of Becky Smith. Becky’s direction and achievement as leader of Butler Downtown should be our guide as we move forward. We should all honor Becky’s memory with good deeds and support of our Butler Downtown group. Butler Downtown is an affiliate of our Chamber, and thus its growth is critical to our wider success. In closing, I thank each of our members for their support and active participation.
Joe Taylor - General Manager, ARMSTRONG
