Butler County Chamber of Commerce | Unified Plan Phase 2

Where we want to go:

We will continue to build on the work and cooperation established to date in Phase I.

The overall objective is to coordinate and improve the community and economic development climate in the county

We intend on improving the climate by focusing on how we can create and retain jobs and how we prioritize and invest in capital assets in Butler County

We will do this by developing a community and economic development plan for the County and then work hard to implement the plan

The plan developed as part of the Phase II effort will:

Establish a process for coordination and cooperation of stakeholders so as to speak with one voice regarding county investment needs with State and Federal officials
Establish a process to prioritize and advance an approach for critical infrastructure investment in the county (such as roads, broadband, sewer & water, pad ready business and industrial parks, etc.)
Help business recruitment and retention activities
Formalize a business support infrastructure

The project has already received the support and endorsement of the County Commissioners and many local government and private business entities

Phase II of the plan will be overseen by a steering group tentatively being called “Unified Butler County” (UBC), which will be made up of key public, private, institutional, and nonprofit stakeholders throughout the County.
