Unlocking Community Investment: A DCED Grant & Tax Credit Seminar
Event Description:
Join Representative Marci Mustello, the Butler County Chamber of Commerce, and the Pennsylvania Department of Community & Economic Development (DCED) for a free informational seminar focused on state funding opportunities designed to strengthen downtowns, revitalize neighborhoods, and support community development initiatives across Pennsylvania.
This session will feature Stephanie Stevenson, Deputy Regional Director for the Southwest Region at DCED, who will provide an overview of two impactful programs: Main Street Matters (MSM) and the Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP).
Main Street Matters is designed to support vibrant, healthy, and welcoming downtown cores and surrounding neighborhoods through investments in planning, business support, safety and security improvements, beautification efforts, and revitalization strategies. Communities will also learn about the benefits of Main Street and Elm Street designation opportunities.
Attendees will also gain insight into the Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP), a tax credit initiative that encourages businesses with Pennsylvania tax liability to invest in projects that improve distressed communities. The program can serve as a valuable tool within broader project capital stacks and community investment strategies.
